The splash screen might be a bit too long (or need some sort of loading icon?) I spent a bit trying to figure out how to start the game before realizing it was just on a timer

Hey Benjamin! Finally got to check your game out. Didn’t get that far yet since I don’t want to spoil it. But so far so good. Super impressed by everything. The only thing I noticed that I’m not sure if you want to change would be the cursor. I’m sure you like the “mouse” type cursor but have you thought of trying to change it to a cursor that sets to said position?

> Text 1

    Text 2

Then when you press down it goes here:

     Text 1

>  Text 2

Or for example in your saved worlds menu

> World 1

When you press right cursor jumps to

    World 1            > World 2

did that make sense?

Because for the saved worlds menu option it takes awhile to move left and right. Along with the main menu. I dunno. It’s just my observation.  But other than that everything for me is just too good. Good job man!

Just a quick message to let you know that your link to this demo from the kickstarter no longer works!

Also, you say that you can get the .gb file from the demo, but I don't see how to do it from itch, do you have another way? (I do lives on homebrew projects, and I can only stream from an emulator ...).

Hey there! Thanks! I just noticed that too. Link to itch is fixed now! :)

I'd be happy to email you the ROM file to playtest! Your support would be so helpful! Would love to see you stream Dream Shark! It is still in development (Beta 2.0) so there are bound to be some bugs still popping up, but a smooth play through has been achieved by several testers!

With pleasure, I stream in French, but I've already had designers from other countries come to see the live shows :p . So how do I get in touch with you, by e-mail on your site?

Still great in French! Would love to be a game that you cover! email me at dreamsharkband@gmail.com, so that I have yours! 😁👁️✨🤙🏻

it's pretty interesting story wise, I just couldn't find out how to control the player, and had some issues with collision

Hello! Since your comment was from the time of Beta 1.0, I'd love to hear your thoughts after testing Beta 2.0... to know if those things you mentioned are fixed now! Cheers!

Alright just finished playing, and its pretty good!

The characters look nice, and the plot is interesting.

My only complaints are

  • Its hard to move
  • I swear I never have enough fuel.
  • When the third challenge ends, you are sent back to the challenges, and softlocks the game, as you can't leave.
  • The really high ledge right before the flag in challenge 3 is insanely hard to do, and it feels nearly pixel perfect. Maybe just 1-2 tiles lower?
  • The isometric view in the simulation is trippy, because you don't move very isometric-y.

Overall, a solid 8/10 game, for a beta version. I'm sure the full version will be awesome!

(I Would reccomend GBStudio Central for tips on how to make isometric movement)

great and helpful feedback! Thank you 🙏🏻 sounds like there’s a lot more game waiting for you, as you didn’t mention anything from TACs ‘dream experience’.

8/10 for the Beta is a very encouraging! I just have one question: what does it’s hard to move refer to? Could you bea bit more specific so I can fix that? Thank you! 👁️👍🏻

1. I'm thrilled to know there's more!

2. I think 4 directional movement is super uncomfortable, and its quite strange. I did test on mobile, but perhaps there's a way to make 8 directional movement? I'd check GB Studio Central for possible solutions, or maybe a plugin
